Does Coffee Inspire Great Music?

Old At Heart
This is an incredibly interesting point of view, especially when you may have noticed how many coffee shops are currently promoting live music and independent artists to perform within their venue. The days of going to a rock concert or club to hear music are no longer the only option, especially when you may have noticed how many independent cafés and locally owned coffee shops are corralling budding artists to give their patrons something amazing to listen to.

When you think of the purpose of the establishment of the coffee shop, it is for socializing, business decisions, and strategizing, so what better place to promote your new career as a music artist than with a receptive audience drinking a cup of Joe? One thing that makes a coffee house so conducive to this type of musical environment is because normal meals are not served, as they would be in a restaurant, so all of the audience will be readily attentive to sip their lattes and listen to the music. Cafés do have a very relaxing vibe, which does differ from the bar atmosphere, but it still serves the purpose of having a drink and listening to a new musical sound. What you do need to think about in a café compared to a bar scene is that many of the more mellow artists will have a chance to be heard in a less intense environment. Many bars do look for catchier beats and rock tunes, while a café may promote an acoustic artist, which gives them the perfect opportunity to garner business for themselves, as well as gives their customers a chance to hear an up-and-coming artist.
